The Foundation for New Education Initiatives enhances student achievement and community engagement in support of The Parent Academy and other educational initiatives of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives has and will continue to seek supplemental funding in support of Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ educational initiatives.
Your donation will support educational initiatives that include, but are not be limited to, the following program areas:
A World Of Opportunity
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives is dedicated to meeting global educational standards with exceptional professional development opportunities for teachers and accelerated academic programs for students. Existing Miami-Dade County Public Schools programs such as Professional Development with an emphasis on the Superintendent’s Urban Principal Initiative, Advanced and Gifted Programming and Performance Pay are proven, in place programs to promote effective teaching and learning.
A World of Innovation
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives encourages innovative programs that focus on the rites of passage in student learning. These programs are often initiated by the Superintendent of Schools and include Passport to the Arts – third grade; Elevate Miami – sixth grade; and Career Academies Internships for high school students. All are successful programs boosted by intergovernmental partnerships.
A World of Academic Success
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives supports programs that prepare the youngest of students for active and effective learning when they enter the classroom for the first time. Early Childhood Education Programs and The Parent Academy offer programs, family learning events and ideas to help parents prepare their children for that first day of school and lifelong learning.
A World of Motivation
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives supports programs that motivate students to stay in school and plan their futures. Intervention programs such as the nationally recognized Miami Partnership for Action in Communities Task Force (MPACT), Truancy Court, The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Program and Targeted Interventions for Low-performing Schools, including the Success Academy are just some of the programs designed to help students build self esteem and productive lives.
A World of Options
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives supports programs that enhance learning beyond traditional school hours to give families the tools and convenience they need to encourage learning. Family Literacy, Out-of-School Programming (Summer School/After-School/
Before-School) and The Parent Academy offer such assistance.
