Help Us Bring Wireless Technology to the Classroom
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc. aims to raise $7 million for wireless technology improvements in our public schools, to be matched 10
to 1 through the federal E-Rate Program. For every $1 donated, the federal government will match it with $10; for every $10 donated, the match will equal $100; and for every $100 donated, the match will equal $1000, etc. Our estimated return is $70 million that will promote teaching and learning in digital classrooms with digital instructional materials. As Miami-Dade County Public Schools and its students move to compete in a global environment driven by technology, providing the technological infrastructure in our schools for our students is critical for their academic success and workforce readiness. Please remember that your donation is worth up to 10 times the amount given. A World of Opportunity
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives is dedicated to meeting global educational standards with exceptional professional development opportunities for teachers and accelerated academic programs for students. Existing Miami-Dade County Public Schools programs such as Professional Development with Project RISE and Advanced and Gifted Programming are proven, in place programs to promote effective teaching and learning.
A World of Innovation
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives encourages innovative programs, including a mini-grant competition for schools, that focus on the rites of passage in student learning. Most programs are initiated by the Superintendent of Schools and include the Cultural Passport program – grade/age appropriate; Elevate Miami – sixth grade; and Career Academies Internships for high school students. All are successful programs boosted by intergovernmental and cultural partnerships.
A World of Academic Success
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives supports programs that prepare the youngest of students for active and effective learning when they enter the classroom for the first time. Early Childhood Education Programs and The Parent Academy offer programs, family learning events and ideas to help parents prepare their children for that first day of school and lifelong learning.
A World of Motivation
The Foundation for New Education Initiatives supports programs that motivate students to stay in school and plan their futures. Intervention programs such as the nationally recognized Miami Partnership for Action in Communities Task Force (MPACT), Truancy Court, The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Program and Targeted Interventions for Low-performing Schools, including the Success Academy are just some of the programs designed to help students build self esteem and productive lives.

The Foundation for New Education Initiatives supports programs that enhance learning beyond traditional school hours to give families the tools and convenience they need to encourage learning. Family Literacy, Out-of-School Programming (Summer School/After-School/Before-School), Dial-A-Teacher, and The Parent Academy offer such assistance.
